Sci-fi writer pens third story

An author, who has already seen two of his novels published, is featured in a new anthology. Luton man Abdul Ahad's short story, The Sombrero Spiral Galaxy, appears in a collection of fiction and poems entitled Forever Friends, which celebrates the the power of friendship and human relationships.

Abdul, of Selbourne Road, said his five-page tale in based on his own experience. The 39-year-old said: "The story is a true story about something that happened in my garden. It's like a dramatisation of two life events. It's an evening out of my life in 2004 and describing what happened. It's mixing fantasy with reality.

"It's really intended for people who have read my first two and give them a better idea about myself."

Former Beech Hill High School Abdul's first fantasy novel First Ark To Alpha Centauri was released in America in 2005. It achieved bestseller status and his second novel, The True Price Of Immortality followed in 2006.

Forever Friends, priced £9.99, is now available in Waterstones in George Street, Luton, on online at Amazon.
