Arlesey lose in five goal thriller at home on Monday
Having picked up a point from Saturday's 3-3 draw at unbeaten Atherstone Town, Arlesey return to Hitchin Road on Bank Holiday Monday to entertain AFC Sudbury where they went ahead against the Suffolk club who many feel could be championship favourites.

However that 1-0 interval lead was to set up a match of mixed fortunes for the Blues and their supporters among the 235-strong crowd as they were to suffer defeat in a five goal thriller.

George Brinkman opened the scoring in the 34th minute.

However three minutes into the new half Sudbury were awarded a generous free kick and Gareth Heath gave keeper Lee Robinson no chance as he levelled the scores.

James Rowe then gave Sudbury the lead in the 73rd minute from the another free kick and while Arlesey had a goal disallowed, the visitors replied with an 80th minute third courtesy of Luke Hammond.

Osbourne was able to pull one back for 3-2.

Further clubs are in action on Tuesday night, August 26. In the SSML Premier Division Biggleswade United host Broxbourne Borough, whilst Langford visit Hertford Town and Biggleswade Town head to Welwyn Garden City.

For results and a report check this website on Wednesday.

On Wednesday Arlesey Athletic host Royston Town in SSML Division One.
