... but Reds bow out in Hinchingbrooke
Despite a slightly disappointing league season, Biggleswade United booked themselves a cup final thanks to Nathan Hilaire's 22nd minute strike at Leading Drove on Tuesday night.

They faced Yaxley in the Hunts Premier Cup semi-final and while the UCL side have also had a relatively poor season, United had several chances and even had the ball in the net before Hilaire raced from his own half to fire home what turned out to be the winner.

The Cuckoos did fight back after the break but United defended well and manager Nick Burton was delighted with the outcome.

They now meet the winners of the Potton United/St Ives Town semi-final which has been penned in for the Hollow on Thursday, May 8.

Unfortunately there was no such joy for Langford when they faced UCL opposition in the quarter-final of the Hinchingbrooke Cup on the same night.

They were away to Deeping Rangers at Outgang Road where they lost 2-0 after goals in the 42nd and 75th minutes from Dave Cobb and Michael Stephenson respectively.

Deeping also face a trip to The Hollow where they will face Potton on Tuesday, April 29 at 7.45pm for a place in the final.
