... but Blues lose on Tuesday night
Stotfold maintained their unbeaten start to the season although they were held in a 3-3 draw at home to St Ives Town on Tuesday night.

They went a goal down on eight minutes when Dan Moyes fired home for the visitors while the Saints were reduced to ten men after a stamping incident, Liam Kennett being ordered off with a straight red card.

Stotfold drew level through Freddie Morris and went ahead when Neil Smith converted a penalty kick following a foul on Callum Donnelly.

And while the Saints levelled through Dan Newman, it was Donnelly who restored Stotfold's lead only for St Ives to grab a late equaliser courtesy of Scott Fielding who was denied a winner in stoppage time by home keeper Brad Gillham.

At Chesham United's Amy Lane ground in the Southern League on Tuesday, Arlesey Town – fresh from their opening day win against Rothwell – took the lead through Jamie Osbourne in the 20th minute but the home side hit back with three goals from Cox (33) and a Burnell double, his first on 58 minutes from the penalty spot while the next ten minutes later sealed the points at 3-1.
