Clive Milton rounds-up the best of the action from the Michael R Peters Sunday League
With a depleted Premier Division programme this week, Inter Cople took their opportunity to grab two points off bottom club Esquires.

The win lifts them into second spot just behind Atletico Europa on the same number of points.

A Richard Cook penalty and a goal from Simon Pixley were enough to earn the points for Cople. The only other match in the division resulted in Partizan getting only one point from Lawson Park Rangers, pushing Partizan into fourth place.

The Caldecote Young Boys versus Supreme game was postponed, whilst Bird in Hand failed to get a side to Queensmen through an apparent communication mix-up.

Division One leaders Oakley also had to sit this week out after their match at Burnaby Arms was postponed.

Oakley still retain the leadership as second placed Clearglaze Diamonds came unstuck against Old Hastingsburians, who have faltered of late mainly because they have been playing Oakley regularly.

Hastingsburians beat Clearglaze 4-1 to halt their slide, now on the same number of points as AFC Greyfriars who beat Newtown Rangers 4-2.

Bottom club 21st Century picked up a point from Stewartby in a 2-2 draw. James Grandidge scored both Stewartby's goals. Century remain two points adrift at the bottom behind Houghton Conquest who lost at home to Bell Sandy 4-1.

Division Two lost one game to the ground conditions, but Meltis Mexicans powered on at the top demolishing Cross Keys Wootton 10-2, the Meltis' goal difference now a staggering 42 after only eight matches.

It was 7-0 by half-time with goals coming from Scott Alleyne with three, Jamie McLennon with a couple and one apiece from Danny Pilgrim and Ingerson. Alleyne got his fourth after the break, Pilgrim got his second and Hazelwood fired in the other one.

The Mexicans were disgusted with themselves for conceding two late goals to a well beaten but plucky Cross Keys side. Second placed Constant & Co. got past a good Wootton Wanderers team 2-1 to keep up their chase of the Mexicans.

Nev Allen and David Benson were the scorers for Constant. The only other game resulted in Sharks winning 6-1 against Ship Inn.

There were lots of goals in Division Three. Marston Reds and leaders Sears Morgan went ballistic away from home, the Reds rippling Bell Sandy Reserves' net eleven times, whilst Sears conceded one goal to Black Tom Rangers, but made their keeper get the ball out of their onion bag twelve times.

Sears Morgan's goal difference is an even more staggering 62 from 10 games.

New Inn Biggleswade dropped their first point of the season when they had to share ten goals with Harrold.

Harrold have had an excellent November being unbeaten and getting a rare point off New Inn, and this has resulted in Mark Walshe, manager of Harrold FC, winning the Harrison & Rowley Manager of the month award for November.

New Inn went 2-0 up through a Mark Franklin free-kick and a solo effort from Joe Harrington. However, Harrold scored three goals in ten minutes when New Inn's defence disintegrated.

Alan Cooper, Jean-Paul Devereux and a sensational free-kick from Shladan Bridgman accounted for the Harrold revival.

Joe Harington steadied the ship for New Inn with his second goal and a Franklin free-kick restored the Inn's lead to 4-3 at half time. Harrold were not finished then.

They made it 4-4 through Mark Wharton, but Wallace thought he had scored the winner for the Inn with ten minutes left after making it 5-4.

But with only two minutes on the clock the Inn's keeper attempted to clear the ball but managed only to find the rear of Harrold's Alan Cooper and the rebound ballooned back over the keeper's head and into the net.

After all that, New Inn are third in the table with Wheatsheaf Flitwick in second place after their fine 4-1 beating of Kempston Constitutional Club. Cranfield beat Salento 5-1 in a mid table tussle.

Harpur FC are clear at the top of Division Four after their 7-1 mauling of Flitwick Eagles. Ben Meaney scored the first for Harpur, ably assisted by Alex Giscombe.

Simon James and Sam Kealy made it 3-0 by half-time. Danny Nathalang made it four in the second half with Simon James scoring two more.
James Baccarella scored the seventh, leaving Flitwick to score the final goal in consolation.

Mowsbury Athletic suffered only their second defeat when Bedford Panthers found their claws and won the match 2-1.

Arran Wright had put Mowsbury one up in the first minute but the Panthers dug in and their efforts were rewarded with two penalties in the last 15 minutes, which were both converted to snatch the two points.

Hobgoblin Old Boys had a bit of a stumble only sharing the points with Bellini's at 3-3 The Boys remain third with Renhold just behind after their game was postponed.

The top four of Division Five were involved in games amongst themselves, whilst Bedford Albion stole into the top two after beating Bird in Hand Lower Stondon 3-1.

The Albion have played more games than the others and may well be overtaken in due course. Leaders Grafton Celtics had the best result of the four when they beat Moor Lane Meltis 4-1 at Moor Lane.

It was a tight game in the first half but Grafton showed their skills beating Meltis comfortably with a hat-trick from Liam Parker and one from Luke Devine.

Meanwhile Clapham and Bedford Allsters fought out a 4-4 draw. The Allsters and Celtics are the only unbeaten teams in the division. Bromham dropped down to the bottom on goal difference from Bird in Hand Lower Stondon after losing 5-1 to Rose Biggleswade.

Bromham were caught out badly early on in the game and found themselves 5-1 down at half-time. Bromham's only success was a penalty driven home by Sean Shankland, who has yet to miss one for the team.

The second half was a different kettle of fish with Bromham's Ashley Ayles firming up the defence and Ryan Kelly pulling the strings from midfield, but the pressure on the Rose goal did not produce any more scores, the Rose keeper being forced to make several fine saves.
