Sandy Football Club held its Annual General Meeting at the Pavilion in Bedford Road when chairman Colin Osborne was able to welcome several new members who had responded to the recent appeal through the Biggleswade Chronicle.

The (Saturday) 1st team had continued to perform well achieving 6th place in the Saturday Premier Division of the Bedfordshire Football League. Treasurer, Kevin Hallett, presented the audited accounts which were approved by the meeting. The dates for the Jess Piggott Tournament were confirmed as Saturday August 9th and 16th.

All the officers were re-elected except for the vice-chairman where Alan Watson stood down (Alan continues as the Club's Child Welfare Officer) and Barry Mills was elected. The committee were also re-elected and were joined by Dorothy and Doug Oakley and Kathy Seldon.

Managers were appointed for the 2008/09 season and will be Pete Fil for the 1st Team, assisted by Keith Christianson and Simon Raggett, with Richard Wheatley and Daniel Bailey continuing as Managers for the Reserves and 'A' Team respectively.
