World champion Victoria Pendleton shed her normal cycling gear for a magazine cover this weekend.

The Stotfold cyclist appeared as the cover story in The Observer's monthly Sport magazine - and she appeared nude on her bicycle to strike the same pose as the famous portrait of Lance Armstrong.

The feature, entitled Victoria's Secrets, saw the Olympic medal hopeful interviewed in Manchester, where she trains with the rest of the GC Cycling squad.

Victoria, 27, talks about her drive and life as a sprint cyclist and admits at the start she was told she was 'too skinny, too puny to be a sprint cyclist'.

She also admitted she didn't like to talk about her day job in company: "My life seems quite dull - I ride around in circles."

Victoria's next major challenge is the UCI Track Cycling World Championships at Manchester at the end of the month.
