Motorcyclist dies in late night crash on B655
Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision last night (Thursday, May 8).

It happened at 10.10pm on the B655 Hitchin Road, 160 metres south west of its junction with the C146 in the parish of Shillington, and involved a Honda 750cc motorcycle and an Iveco recovery truck.

The male rider, who had been travelling towards Hexton from the direction of Barton, was pronounced dead at the scene and the truck driver, who had been travelling in the opposite direction, was unhurt.

A full collision investigation is underway and an inquest will be opened and adjourned in due course, after which the victim's details will be released.
