Village pub is the toast of the region
The Engineers Arms pub in Henlow has been hailed the best Bedfordshire pub by real ale experts.

It is the second year running the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has awarded the Henlow pub the accolade.

Mystery drinkers visited each pub listed in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide and the Engineers Arms came out tops in the county.

It will now go through to the next round of the competition to find the national Pub of The Year.

Other awards handed out by the East Beds branch of CAMRA were: Community Pub of the Year; John o' Gaunt, Sutton, Mild Ale Pub of the Year; Wheatsheaf, Biggleswade, Highly commended Branch Pub; Sir William Peel, Sandy.
