Thousands turn out for grand parade on Saturday
Biggleswade Carnival parade was a huge hit on Saturday.

The annual parade of floats was blessed with good weather and the sun certainly brought out the crowds who packed the long route.

The procession, featuring more than a dozen floats on the theme of Disney plus bands, majorettes and walkers left Holmemead Middle School shortly after 2pm.

Crowds were several deep when it reached its busiest point in the Market Square.

The parade then continued around Shortmead Street and Sun Street before taking a breather in Potton Road. The route back to Holmemead School was completed via Drove Road.

Check this website later today (Monday) for a full report on proceedings plus a super slideshow of the very best carnival pictures.

Did you take any pictures of the parade?

We would love to feature your photos of Saturday's occasion on this website or in the Biggleswade Chronicle's special carnival supplement on Friday.
