Lack of support and donations forces Chamber of Trade's hand
Christmas could be cancelled as Biggleswade Chamber of Trade prepares to ask its members to vote on a motion saying it can no longer organise the annual festive lights event.

The chamber's executive will present the motion at its annual general meeting later this month.

It reads: "That, in view of the lack of resources, the Chamber of Trade regrets that it would no longer be able to accept responsibility for the Biggleswade Christmas lights."

Secretary Graham Jones told the Chronicle: "The overriding issue has been lack of donations from traders in the town and also the increasing burden in the organisation and lack of people to share that burden."

For the full story see the May 2 edition of th Biggleswade Chronicle.

Do you believe there are UFOs in our skies?
Yes, aliens are out there
No, a load of rubbish
They are all just sky lanterns
