Potton couple mark their diamond wedding anniversary
A diamond couple celebrated 60-years of marriage last week, having met as teenagers in the village where they still live.

Bob and Prim Darlow, of Horslow Street, Potton, met at the village youth club in 1945 and were married four years later in nearby St Mary's Church.

Celebrating with friends and family last Thursday (June 25), the duo put their long and happy relationship down to common interests and compromise.

Mrs Darlow, 81, who worked as a machinist at Kayser Bondor in Biggleswade, said: "Some people say we go together like fish and chips."

The couple have two sons, Clive, 56, and Paul, 39, and Mr Darlow, 83, was secretary of Brookside Tennis Club for many years.

He originally worked on his father's freeholding before becoming a postman and delivering mail to Sutton and Deepdale for 21 years until he retired.
