19-year-old arrested in Sandy following death of Bedford man
Police officers investigating the death of a young man following an incident in Midland Road, Bedford, at 3.17am on Sunday (May 4) have arrested a man in Sandy.

The 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday afternoon and taken to Greyfriars Police Station in Bedford for interview.

Det Insp Alan Postawa, of the Beds and Herts Major Crime Unit, emphasised that despite the arrest it is an ongoing enquiry and important witnesses or those with information should continue to come forward.

James Latimer, 22, of Dearne Walk, Brickhill, Bedford, died at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, on Monday.
A post-mortem yesterday established he died from severe head injuries.
