Town gets new tradtional sweet shop
Move over Willy Wonka – a new sweet shop will be adding a little sweetness to Biggleswade when it opens tomorrow (Saturday).

Sweet Alley, on Abbots Walk, will be giving away free samples when it opens at 9am.

And there will also be a chance to get your hands on a jar of sweets by guessing how many it contains.

Deborah Fairley, 45, and Laura Ranson, 26, say they have already been overwhelmed by the positive response to the shop, which has been getting ready to open for the past eight weeks.

Deborah said: "We came to look at a cafe over here because we wanted to do something and thought, 'hang on, there aren't any sweet shops here'. I've never seen so many people try to get in, it doesn't stop."

The shop will be open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, with a range of sweets, Belgian chocolates and more to tempt the sweet toothed.

Do you believe there are UFOs in our skies?
Yes, aliens are out there
No, a load of rubbish
They are all just sky lanterns
