Jungle MP Nadine Dorries’ expenses claims are being investigated by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority.

The compliance officer for the IPCA today announced it was looking into expense claims made by Nadine regarding accommodation and travel and subsistence.

However Nadine to told the Times & Citizen today that is “absolutely no truth” in the claims and she will be going IPSA once the investigations is over.

A notice on the IPSA’s website from the compliance officer reads: “This notice is published in accordance with Section 9 and 9A of the Parliamentary Standards

Act 2009 (as amended) and Paragraph 48 of the Second Edition of the Procedures for Investigations of the Compliance Officer for IPSA.

“The Compliance Officer for the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority has reason to believe that Ms Nadine Dorries MP may has been paid an amount under the MPs’ Scheme of Business Costs and Expenses that should not have been allowed.

“An investigation will be conducted into claims submitted under the following areas of the Third and Fourth Editions of the MPs’ Scheme of Business Costs and Expenses:

Accommodation Expenditure; Travel and Subsistence.

“In accordance with the legislation and the procedures for investigation made thereunder, no further information shall be published until the investigation has been concluded.”

Nadine said: “I have not misclaimed a single penny in expense and I am furious that these claims have been made.

“IPSA claims £5million of the taxpayers money and there has been no investigation since 2011. Because of the jungle they have gone after a high-profile MP who is not a minister to show they are doing their job,”

The controversial MP added that she is being investigating for sub-letting her flat in London, which she says is completely not true and insists the reason the bills went up because her daughter was staying with her, which is allowed,
