Shefford’s dairy farmers

THE farmhouse at Wood Hall in Shefford which has been owned by Sir Stanley Odell for the past 44 years, was previously a dairy farm up until the Second World War.

This old photograph, dating from the turn of last century and belonging to Trevor Walker shows members of the Brown family who ran the dairy.

Mrs Brown was originally one of the local Parrish family and is seen here with her husband W.A. Brown and their children along with other dairy workers.

They are standing outside the stables.

Thanks go to Trevor Walker for bringing in this interesting photo which is now largely outside of living memory.
