Guildean Gang play Cambridge

Catch The Gang at The Junction Friday

Guildean Gang are headlining a gig in Cambridge tonight.

The boys have been busy gigging over the last couple of months and last week they played to thousands at Hitchin's Rhythms of the World Festival.

Guildean Gang need no introduction I'm sure for regular readers of this page, the Biggleswade boys always put on a cracking performance with a set full of your much loved songs like London Road.

But for those who don't read this page first of all, slap, and second of all I will give you a quick run down.

Having only been together for around a year and a half, the Guildean Gang have already been noticed by DJ Steve Lamacq, been interviewed on his show and received airplay.

They have already had four songs available to download on thier wbsite, and this month released their debut single Swirls, which was actually written by candlelight during a power cut in the winter.

The four members, Charlie Stone, Adam Martin, Sam Downing, and Olly Humphries hail from Bigglesswade and Bedford, and met while they were studying at the Acadamy of Contemporary Music in Guildford.

And how's this for talent, while most youngsters are running around paying with their train sets or whatever new toy is 'in' at the moment, Charlie Stone had already penned his first song.

The gang will be playing at nightclub The Junction with support from Carbon Footprints, Rosalita, The Pepys, and You, Me and Them Club.

Doors open at 6.30pm and tickets are 5 and are available on the door or in advance from www.junction.co.uk
