Pints and performers too
A FAMILIAR face will be providing some top soul sounds at a popular Arlesey venue on Saturday (February 25).
The Soul Man, a regular performer on the Chronicle Country circuit will be singing a set of soul classics at The Old Oak pub.
Over at The White Horse in Arlesey, meanwhile, rock covers will be on the agenda on the same night courtesy of Permission.
A similar sound will be heard at The Red Lion in Biggleswade on Saturday when four-piece rock covers band Hesh perform.
Rock covers will also be on the cards at The Red Lion on Thursday, March 1 when Maxwell Hammer and Smith play there.
Donna Mackay and Andrea will be playing at The Engineer’s Arms in Henlow, also on Saturday.
Indie and rock covers bands Get Carter and Woody’s Broken It will be playing at The Plough in Langford on Saturday, while on Monday night (February 27) there will be a folk session at the pub.
Over in Potton, The Natalies will be entertaining punters at Potton and District Club with a selection of pop, rock and indie favourites from previous decades on Saturday.
An eclectic selection of acts will also be playing at Performers and Pints in Potton on Friday (February 24).
The Red Lion pub’s function room in Station Road will be the place to go for an evening of entertainment provided by three musicians.
Will himself will be setting the tone for the evening, as always.
Described as a heady cocktail of James Morrison, John Legend and Jamie Cullum, Will blends the sounds of these artists and adds a twist of his own to create a unique package of soul, funk, power pop and other styles besides.
He will be joined by all-female acoustic, alternative and pop group Minnie Birch, covers and originals artist Kevin Clynes and singer songwriter Steph Brown.
Acoustic covers and originals will also be the order of the day at The George and Dragon in Potton on Saturday when Music and Spies take to the stage.
Classic rock covers specialists Black Dog will be performing hits from the likes of Cream, The Who and Whitesnake at The Roundabout Club in Sandy on Saturday.
Powerpop, ska, rock, new romantic, new wave and punk will be some of the musical genres that are set to rock The White Hart Hotel in Shefford on Friday when The Informers take up residence for the night.
Music fans in Stotfold can also enjoy a performance from covers act The Scallywags at The Coach and Horses pub on Saturday.
