Flaming dance sensation

Magical performance comes to Milton Keynes Theatre

Ever since Michael Flatley's legs moved faster than the speed of light and gave birth to Riverdance during the interval of the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, the British nation has been obsessed with Irish dancing.

Today you can still see the wonder of Riverdance, minus Michael Flatley's legs, in Dublin, but why travel there when you can get all the high kicking fast paced action a lot closer to home.

Taking the phenomenon to new heights with innovative choreography and explosive special effects, Magic of the Dance erupts onto the stage at Milton Keynes Theatre next week.

Hailed as the finest and most exciting dance show of the century, it tells the story of good versus evil, set in a famine stricken Ireland and carried by breathtaking dance routines, with highly refined footwork and amazing precision.

The tapping in this show is so powerful that for the first time ever, audiences will witness a dancer's shoes burst into flames live on stage.

In addition to the numerous Irish Dance World Champions that form the greater part of the cast, Magic of the Dance features the finest performers of modern American tap dance - The New York Tap All-Stars.

Having already racked up 2,500 performances worldwide and with more than three million tickets sold, don't miss your chance to catch this dance sensation when it appears at Milton Keynes Theatre from Thursday (July 30) until Saturday (August 1).

Tickets cost between 12 and 23.50. For more information call 08448 717652 or visit www.miltonkeynestheatre.com
