Irish funnyman set to bring laughter to town
Sean Hughes comes to Bedford Corn Exchange
A barrel of laughs will come in waves to Bedford this weekend as the Irish stand up comedian Sean Hughes puts on a show.
The youngest comic ever to win the prestigious Perrier Award, for his Edinburgh Fringe debut in 1990, will be at Bedford Corn Exchange on Friday, October 2.
The comedian has featured on popular shows like The Last Detective, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Sean's Show on Channel 4 over the last two decades.
His dark, explosive style and quick fire audience banter made him a household name and he is sure to bring audiences to their knees in fits of laughter.
As well as his comedy skills, the 43-year-old has starred in various acting roles.
He had a small role in the 1991 film, The Commitments, and he also played Eileen Grimshaw's love interest Pat, in Coronation Street.
After taking a back seat in the comedy arena and working in various positions, the talented laughter machine is back doing what he does best.
This weekend is one to watch out for.
