Pearls of Sharnbrook Mill

Trust celebrate 30 years of top theatre fun

It's not everyday you turn 30 years old, so to celebrate this momentous achievement Sharnbrook Mill Theatre is putting on a pearl of a show.

Since 1979 the stage boards have seen plenty of singing, dancing, laughs and moving shows and to mark the theatre's ongoing success, Pearls Of The Mill will feature a little bit of all of them.

With extracts and musical numbers from a host of the plays performed on the Sharnbrook stage over the last 30 years, including Oliver, My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, Little Shop Of Horrors, Fiddler on the Roof and the first ever musical performed at the Mill, Salad Days, this unique show has something for everyone.

Plus there will be a special section for the theatre's youth group to showcase the next generation of talent.

The show will also reflect the unique story of the theatre, which started out as a water flour mill.

In 1974 a 125-year lease was agreed by the theatre trust to take the Sharnbrook Mill from the then owners of the building Imperial Foods and it was five years before shows were able to be performed at the Mill.

So catch 30 years of Sharnbrook Mill Theatre Trust's work when Pearls Of The Mill opens on Thursday, (June 18) with performances running until Saturday (June 20).

Tickets cost 10 and are available by calling 01234 269519.
