Summer Theatre magic

Last chance to see Chapterhouse Theatre Company open-air show

A bit of summer theatre magic comes to Marston Moretaine this week as an open-air production of Merlin the Magician comes to Millennium Park.

After wowing crowds at Woburn Abbey recently with performances of Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Cinderella, Chapterhouse Theatre Company return with an all new show.

Following on from the company's successful production of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table last year, the action follows Merlin on his quest to guide King Arthur in his search for the legendary Holy Grail.

Among the bright lights of Camelot, a famed new knight will arrive, bringing romance and chivalry to the court, along with music, dance comedy and drama.

In an exciting world of fearsome beasts and magical creatures, Merlin and the knights of Camelot embark on the most thrilling journey of their lives and give the theatre loving audiences of Bedford a treat this Saturday (August 22).

Plus it's a great excuse to take along a rug and have a picnic in the beautiful surroundings of Millennium Park and enjoy the summer sun.

The performance kicks off at 2.30pm. Tickets cost 10 adults, 8 children and students.

For more information call Millennium Park Forest Centre on 01234 767037 or the Bedford Tourist Information Centre on 01234 221712.
