Who's game for a laugh?

Comedy club serves up your monthly dose of humour

If you fancy a laugh instead of a bloody tragedy then head down to the Harpur Suite in Bedford, because it's comedy club time again.

And this month it's a bumper bucket load of the best comedy with a whopping six comedians lined up to tickle your funny bone.

On the bill for August is the winner of the 2009 New Comedy Act of The Year Award David James, not the England goalkeeper, but rather a fresh faced comic who started stand-up at the young age of 60.

He's joined by English Comedian Of The Year 2009 finalist Joel Dommett and Joe K, who as well as appearing on the BBC's Crimewatch show, it's ok he was only acting, was the Comedy Store's King Gong winner in 2006.

Completing the line-up are funny men Christian Lee and Duncan Edwards, with world renowned compere and comedian John Newton hosting the night.

All off this comedy goodness is being squeezed onto the stage at The Harpur Suite next Friday (August 28) with doors open from 8pm.

Tickets cost 9 in advance and 10 on the door. For more information call 01234 269519 or visit www.bedfordcornexchange.co.uk
