Start the new year with some music

editorial image

Potton and District Club starts the new year with a bang with covers band Khorosho on Saturday (January 5). The five-piece band stays away from obvious choices, throwing in some songs you may now have heard for a while to keep you guessing. Entry is free for members but non-members are welcome at £2 entry. The gig starts at 8.30pm.

Over in Shefford, female-fronted four-piece Jellyhead will be playing rock, pop, blues and indie covers. They are at The Cornerstone on Saturday from 9pm.

If you fancy venturing a bit further afield, you can catch The x-certs at Esquires in Bedford from 5pm to 8pm on Sunday. Or you can head to the Hen & Chickens on South Road in Baldock on Sunday to see Home Cookin’ – a quartet playing vocal and instrumental jazz/blues/ska and township. They are at the venue from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.

Christmas is a fading memory. Why not banish the post festive season blues with some live music?
