The Mak is back!
Fans of live music who live in or around Potton are likely to have enjoyed a performance from musician and recording artist Will Mak in the past.
Will runs the popular Performers and Pints night at The Red Lion pub and he has just released his first album.
Run this Race is an eclectic blend of rock, pop and soul which inspires at a time where few artists are really standing out.
Will has been compared to Jamie Cullum, John Legend and James Morrison and all of those influences are present and correct.
The album also has nods to some of David Gray’s more poignant work and the cheerful, thoughtful jazz fusion of Steely Dan and acts of a similar ilk.

Getting back to the weekend’s musical highlights on the gig front, a multi-instrumental duo, Delta Ladies will be entertaining punters at The Five Bells in Cople on Saturday (November 3).
Vicky Martin (guitar and ukulele) and Diana Stone (piano, fiddle and accordian) swap instruments at will and play a multitude of genres.
Bluegrass, blues, swing and skiffle are just a small number of the musical styles gig goers can expect to hear.
The two are experienced performers having entertained audiences at festivals, pubs and clubs around the country as well as overseas.
Budding musicians in Potton can perform to a live audience on Friday (November 2) at an open mic and jam night at Potton and District Club.
Fans of the two B’s – The Beatles and Buddy Holly – can hear tributes to the respective legends at the club on Saturday.
The Back Beatles play much-loved tracks primarily from the Fab Four, of course, but also from Buddy too.
Five-piece indie-rock outfit Fixer will be on the bill at The Roundabout Club in Sandy on Saturday, meanwhile.
Kasabian, The Stereophonics, Muse, Biffy Clyro, Supergrass, U2 and the Foo Fighters are just some of the acts that Fixer include in the list of acts they pay homage to.
The band guarantee to bring even the most reluctant party-goer to the dance floor with a fast-moving and energetic set.
DJ, singer and all-round entertainer Markus will be in attendance at Sandy Conservative Club, also on Saturday.
Live vocals, an interactive disco and a lively personality are all key elements of Markus’s show.
He includes classic covers from the 1960s right through to the present day in his sets and he has recently added a Michael Buble show to his burgeoning repertoire.
The well-named Matti Fantasi will also be entertaining pub goers in Shillington with a solo set of rock and glam classics on the same night.
Catch Matti at the Noah’s Ark pub.
