Angling round-up
Fishing at Beckerings Reservoir near Flitwick, Phil Randall landed a 23lb 11oz mirror along with a low double.
But Randall reports that there is little coming out during the day.
Brett Herdman was at the same venue and found the fish feeding during the night, landing five commons and one mirror to 18lb 2oz on Quest Baits.
Although the carp seem to have switched off during the day there are still good bags of roach and skimmers to be had in daylight hours with catches of 20lb not uncommon.
This week's work party was at a wind and rain lashed North House Lake on the Wyboston Complex.
Despite a very poor turnout water lilly roots and reeds were cleared with the help of a diver in 18 swims to stop them causing problems in the spring.

Both Cherry and Orchid Lakes are producing big crucians and roach upwards of 1lb 8oz.
With the rain finally arriving, the rivers are now running high and this has seen some decent catches for Vauxhall AC with several fish up to 10lb being netted.
The continuing mild weather has produced good sport on the lakes with bream and roach showing at both Harrold and Sharnbrook.
