A fundraising leap of faith!

I am: Scott Thompson, 45, of The Grange, Lower Caldecote.

What’s the event?: A tandem parachute jump at Peterborough Sibson airfield on Sunday, August 3.

Who is taking part?: Myself, my daughter Jasmin, 17; her boyfriend James Woodley, 18, from Sutton and my work colleague and future son-in-law Steve Browne, 21.

Who are you raising money for?: Jasmin and I are raising money for Wish Upon A Star and James and Steven for Cancer Research UK.

Why have you chosen this charity?: My wife Iris worked in Great Ormond Street Hospital and we have fostered children for over five years and think it’s a great charity and does a great job with poorly childre.

How much are you hoping to raise?: £500

How are you preparing for the event? My youngest daughter Lily is selling loom bands to friends and neighbours and has so far raised £12.

We are getting sponsored for the jump by work colleagues and friends.

Jasmin is hoping to do a cake sale at a local school.
