A company has won a Responsible Care Award.

Dakram Materials in Biggleswade has won the Chemical Business Association’s (CBA) Office Only and Overall Responsible Care Award.

The business is located in Church Street.

The company received its awards for its commitment to a wide range of initiatives exceeding normal levels of compliance with responsible care.

These included an impressive list of in-company projects and work within the local community as well as communication initiatives with the company’s supply chain partners.

Managing director Kate Mingay received the awards on behalf of the company.

The awards were presented at CBA’s annual lunch, held at the Grosvenor House in London. This is the largest UK event for the chemical supply chain and this year it attracted more than 1,000 members and their guests.

Explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes presented the awards.

CBA’s Responsible Care Awards recognise the achievements of member companies in raising standards of health, safety, security, and environmental management.
