Generous scouts have been awarded badges for their ongoing charity work.

Some 28 youngsters from the Sandy Scout Group have been awarded Falcon Challenge Badges by deputy county commissioner Ken Brooker.

Over the years the scouts, all aged from six to 14 have supported charities such as

Help for Heroes, the Little Princess Trust and last year Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Assistant cub scout leader Sharon Bates said: “They are a truly generous group.”
