The Biggleswade branch of the Royal British Legion has teamed up with Biggleswade Town Council to organise the commemoration service at 11am in the market square on Sunday.

Local dignitaries set to attend the event include the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Robert Lovesey and the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, Colin Osborne.

There will also be a special appearance by representatives from the Royal Chelsea Pensioners.

During the event there will be a collection for the Royal British Legion.

And a limited edition mug has also been produced to mark the centenary, which will be on sale at St Andrew’s Country Fayre tomorrow.
