Just the ticket for town's parking issues
Central Beds Council has agreed a raft of waiting restrictions to try to cut down on commuter parking in the town.
There will now be waiting restrictions on Dells Lane (North), Mead End and Tennyson Drive areas.

Although The Dells scheme was approved it will not be introduced unless officers consider them needed to address any parking issues and will be reviewed in 18 months.
Dells Lane (south and the Lincoln Crescent area is to have waiting restrictions.
Residents on Hitchin Street, Saffron Road and adjacent streets and Ivel Mill residents will be eligible to apply for one resident permit per dwelling to park in the adjacent parking zone.
There will be waiting restrictions on London Road and The Baulk.

In Ivel gardens the waiting restrictions near the Vicarage and 3 Ivel Gardens will by published in the near future.
But plans to introduce no waiting on Osprey Road area had been withdrawn.
The moves have been introduced after years of complaints from residents about commuter parking in the town.
Central Beds Council commissioned a study on the issue which recommended on street parking restrictions.

Most residents supported the proposals although some did object.
There were also some requests for extra parking from a resident of Ivel Mill to be eligible for a parking permit in a nearby zone, which was turned down as the flats already have parking facilities.
In a report officers said: “There remain a small number of residual objections, all of which are relatively minor and localised.”
