The celebrated French chef will prepare a four-course seasonal feast and fellow chef Pierre Koffman will be among the guests.

During the evening Park Side Shop proprietors Phil Jellis and his partner Charlie Caress will introduce some of their suppliers.

Phil said: “The aim of the event is to highlight the importance of food provenance, sustainability and shopping locally.”

The 39-year-old can still hardly believe he didn’t recognise Bruno when he popped into the shop one day.

“We got talking and he seemed like someone who knew what he wanted,” Phil recalls. “I told him where everything came from and recommended how to cook stuff.

“Then his wife came in a little later, said he was a chef and gave me his card. When I Googled him I nearly passed out. But he’s such a lovely guy and he keeps coming back.”
