You can save yourself a handy £5 on the £20 entry fee if you put your name down before June 1.

Last year’s event raised £65,000.

Hospice fundraiser Fay Boissieux said: “The Starlight Walk is one of our biggest fundaisers and promises to be a fun but special experience for friends, families and colleagues as they remember a loved one.

“The night kicks off with entertainment on the main stage, including a clubbercise warm-up, in line with out Ibiza theme.

“Walkers will follow a safe marshalled route around the gorunds and countryside with entertainment all along the way.”

The 5km and 10km charity challenge starts at 10pm but gates will open at 8pm.

This year’s route will take place within the grounds of the hospice and the surrounding countryside.

After crossing the finishing line, participants will be rewarded with a goody bag in the knowledge they have been stars themselves for a night and done something incredible for people living with incurable illness.

Everyone can get involved so why not challenge yourself to raise money for your local hospice?

It will be a fun-filled star-studded night, so dust down those walking shoes and book early to receive your discounted rate.

Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice opened in 1980 and has been providing local people with palliative care and support ever since, both in the community and at its 15-bed hospice.
