A woman who twice failed to provide the name of the driver of a car caught speeding in Great Barford has been banned from driving.

A car belonging to Andrea Peacock aged 27 of Argyle Road, Ealing, was spotted allegedly breaking the speed limit twice on February 9, 2015 but each time she failed to provide police with the name of the driver.

She was banned from driving for 12 months and fined a total of £1,471.

The court heard the speeds recorded had been 40mph and 48mph in a 30mph limit.

The case was heard before Luton Magistrates on January 25.

On January 16

> Jason Metcalfe aged 47 of McMurdo Court, Sandy, was fined a total of £811 and received six penalty points for failing to provide the name of a driver of his car alleged to have committed an offence on the A1 on June 28.

> Kenneth Smith aged 49 of Plough Lane, Shefford, was fined a total of £335 and received three penalty points for speeding on Park Road, Westoning on June 28.

> Christopher Tolley aged 40 of Rectory Court, Sandy, was fined a total of £569 and received five penalty points for speeding on Bedford Road, Aspley Guise, on June 21.

> Richard Walker aged 37 of Church Street, Biggleswade, was fined a total of £231 and received three penalty points for speeding on High Road, Shefford, on June 25.

> Dean Webber aged 35 of Dickens Boulevard, Stotfold, was fined a total of £335 and received three penalty points for speeding on the A1 at Lower Caldecote on June 25.

> Alan Williams aged 64 of Station Road, Blunham, was fined a total of £811 and received six penalty points for failing to provide the name of the driver of his car alleged to have committed an offence in Great Barford on June 24.

On January 17

> Menkara Maddix aged 20 of High Street, Purley, was fined a total of £398.20 for failing to produce a ticket for inspection at Sandy station on August 18.

On January 18

> Miss Donna Parry aged 47 of Chaffinch Green, Lower Stondon, was fined £65 and banned from driving for six months of speeding on New Road, Clifton, on March 23.

> John Smith aged 46 of Cambridge Road, St Neots, was fined a total of £811 and disqualified from driving for 6 months for driving without insurance in Potton on March 4.

>Samuel Churchill aged 33 of James Street, Lincoln, was fined a total of £569 and banned from driving for 35 days for speeding at 113mph in his Porsche on the A1 at Sandy on June 3.

> Andre Godinho aged 33 of Back Street, Biggleswade, was fined a total of £379 and given six penalty points for speeding on Hitchin Road, Upper Caldecote, on April 2.

On January 20

> Glynn Phillips aged 24 of Coppice Mead, Biggleswade, was fined a total of £250 and received three penalty points for speeding on the A603 at Moggerhanger on May 24.

On January 23

> Miss Kelly Smith aged 33 of Park Road, Sandy, was jailed for 12 weeks for a series of thefts from shops in Biggleswade and Sandy between January 8-19 this year. She was also ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.

On January 24

> Mathew Dureo of Rose Lane, Biggleswade, was fined a total of £427 for dropping litter in Priory Country park, Bedford on July 19.

> Ms Charlotte Lloyd of Winchester Road, Sandy, was fined a total of £442 for dropping litter in Silver Street, Bedford on July 14.

>On January 25

>420 liability orders for non payment of council tax were issued in favour of Central Bedfordshire council and a further 40 liability orders for no payment of no domestic rates.

On January 25

> Jordan Taylor aged 19 of Western Way, Sandy, received an 18 week jail sentence, suspended for 18 months after pleading guilty to assaulting a woman in Stevenage on December 22.

The court heard it was a sustained assault which left the victim injured.

He was also ordered to pay a total of £200 in fines.

> Malcolm Dennis aged 53 of North Bridge Street Shefford, was fined a total of £335 and received three penalty points for driving while on a mobile phone in Ashburnham Road, Bedford on July 2.
