Time to have your say on school

Parents who want a say in plans to convert Everton Lower School into a primary school have until next Friday to submit their responses.

The school, in Potton Road, Everton, is consulting over a proposal to extend the age range of the school by two year, effectively removing the three-tier system.

It would increase the intake of the school, rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, by up to 34 pupils from the current 50, and would be phased in over two academic years from September 2017.

Governors supporting the plans say the change will remove the disruption of a change of school for pupils between Years 5 and 6 and claim that most schools in Beds will be two-tier within the next two years.

70 per cent of Everton pupils are from outside the village. To have your visitwww.evertonlowerschool.org.uk
