A consultation is running until 15 March around proposals for the lower school in Greenfields, Shillington, to extend its age range from 4-9 to 2-9.

It’s so that the lower school can run a nursery on the same site as a previous pre-school which closed last year.

All feedback will be taken into account when Central Bedfordshire Council’s Executive makes the final decision on 4 April.

If the school is given approval to extend its age range then the change will come into force for the new academic year in September 2017.

There is currently a gap in the village for pre-school facilities after Shillington Under-Fives closed at the end of the autumn term.
