It’s time for you to spring into the new theatre season

Christmas and New Year are well and truly over, so it’s time to take a look 
at what’s in store at the theatre this spring.

Bedford Corn Exchange will be offering something for comedy lovers, as the hilarious Lee Hurst visits in February. Comedian Russell Kane brings his new show to the venue in March along with the grouchy Rich Hall. And in April Sean Lock brings his hilarious new show to Bedford.

On the music front, Chas and Dave are back by popular demand in April, while Abba Forever will be bringing the classic hits to life in February. The Philharmonia Orchestra is also set to visit the venue on more than one occasion this season.

There will be plenty of first class theatre to enjoy at the Milton Keynes Theatre this season.

Abigail’s Party is at the theatre in May, while Goodnight Mister Tom takes centre stage in February. If you prefer to have a bit of singing and dancing rolled in with your acting, why not look out for 9 to 5 The Musical in March or Hairspray The Musical in April?

Bad boy of Strictly Come Dancing Brendon Cole will star in his new show Licence to Thrill in February or you could catch Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty later this month.

If you fancy some comedy, try Harry Hill: Sausage Time or Jethro, also both during February and bound to banish the winter blues.

Jethro is also set to appear at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage in February.

And that’s not the only thing that will be drawing audiences to the Stevenage theatre.

The Fabulous ELO Experience will be performing in February, as will Blake; the UK’s most popular Brit-Award-winning harmony group. You can also catch Think Floyd and The Elvis Years in March or Billy Ocean in May.

For fans of something a little more classical, there’s A Viennese Strauss Gala in February and the Grand Opera of Belarus presents Madam Butterfly, also in February. The Moscow Ballet brings Coppelia to the stage in March

Musical theatre fans can enjoy songs from the shows in Beyond the Barricade in April when the show returns by popular demand or Boogie Nights: The Musical - in Concert in February.

Theatre lovers can catch mystery A Murder Is Announced in February, Alan Ayckbourn comedy A Cricket Match or non-stop comedy Boeing Boeing in March.

Or for something really different, why not see the Circus of Horrors in February, Shaolin Warriors in April or An Evening of Burlesque in May?
