Biggleswade Academy will be opening its doors to the public as it celebrates a new era.
The school – which now encompasses the former Brigham Pre-School, Southlands Lower School and Holmemead Middle, all on one campus – is to hold an open day and evening on Wednesday, October 16.
During the day visitors can drop in at the school and see what happens during a typical day, from 9.15am to 11.30am and again from 1.45pm to 3.15pm.
Then in the evening there will be talks and activities about the learning and day-to-day life of the different school years and also about the academy’s overall vision.
The school’s different entrances will give visitors access to the separate sections.
The pre-school and early years section will be accessible from the London Road entrance from 7pm to 8pm, the Year 4 section will be available via the Kitelands Road entrance between 5.30pm and 7pm, while for Years 5 to 8 it will be the Mead End entry point from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
Headteacher Stephen Phillips said: “We are revolutionising the way we provide education for our children and young people and everything we do is driven by a deep desire to provide the very best.”
