Armed robbery in Ladbroke’s, Sandy
police crime
Two hammer wielding armed robbers stole cash from a betting shop yesterday evening (Monday, March 11).
The masked men entered Ladbroke’s in Sandy High Street at 9.35pm while the female cashier, 22, was working alone.
Having said goodbye to the last regular customer she had gone to check the toilets before locking up.
At the same time the two white men entered shop. One propped the front door open while the other went straight to the till and removed some cash.
When the cashier spotted the robbers she ran out of the shop shouting for help. The men fled in the direction of Bedford Road and Budgens.
The robbers are described as two white men, one wearing a red coat and the other a black coat with scarves wrapped round their faces.
