Every child has a favourite toy but what could be more special than one they have made themselves?
Frosts Garden Centre in Willington is giving children the chance to do just that with its teddy bear building workshop over May half term.
Children will be provided with a teddy bear skin and 30g of stuffing. Before patching up their new teddy bear each child will be given a special wishing star. They will need to make a wish and kiss the star before placing it inside their bear and closing it up. Their new teddy bear will become the keeper of their wish.
Every teddy bear will be given a birth certificate which children can fill in with their teddy’s name.
Once every bear is finished children will be able to enjoy 20 minutes of teddy bear themed party games with refreshments.
The workshop is taking place every day from Monday, May 26 to Friday, May 30 with three sessions per day at 10am, noon and 2pm.
Sessions are limited to 35 children so parents are advised to book in advance. The activity will last for approximately one hour and children should arrive 10 minutes prior to their session. Teddy bear building is fully supervised and is suitable for children aged three and over.
Tickets cost £9.99 including refreshments. They are available from the garden centre on 01234 838777 or online at www.frostsgardencentres.co.uk
