Beaten to the ground by gang of thugs – for an iPhone

A man was punched and kicked to the ground by a gang during a violent street robbery.

He also had his iPhone stolen during the attack in Shefford in the early hours of Saturday morning (March 8).

The robbery took place at around 2am while the victim was walking down Clifton Road.

A white Transit van pulled up and a group of men got out and started attacking the man before searching his jacket pockets.

The men took the black iPhone before punching and kicking the man to the ground.

They then returned to the van and drove off in the direction of Shefford High Street.

Detective Constable Surinder Ram, who is investigating the assault and robbery, would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the attack and may have seen the offenders.
