A creative youngster was awarded first prize in a jewellery making competition.

Five-year-old Evie Brown of Biggleswade designed jewellery for the contest, which was run by Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery in Hertfordshire.

She won a jewellery making kit, a designer’s sketch book and a jewelled pencil.

A spokesman for the competition said: “Evie really thought about what she was creating, laying all the beads out so delicately beforehand and then making her creations with minimal supervision.
“When she got started there was no stopping her – creating lots of lovely pieces!”
