Chronicle Country teachers set to ply their trades in France.

A teaching couple are looking for teenagers to tutor A-level maths to –but in the tranquil surroundings of France.

Former Stratton Upper School teachers David and Patsy Frost have transformed their French home so they can offer intensive week-long maths tuition courses for pupils preparing for their AS and A levels.

They were planning on starting the business Maths A la Carte last year, but due to building delays, they are now looking to launch this Easter.

Mr Frost said: "We have had this place in France for several years now and it was only when a friend of ours asked us to tutor their son that we started thinking about doing this.

"We were going to France and we said that we could do it, but he would have to come to France with us. So that's what he did and he actually found it so useful he suggested running the courses."

The couple plan to charge around 1,500 for the study course, which as well as revision and board will also include flights to and from France and transport between the airport and the holiday home.

And when they are not teaching they plan to run their home as a bed and breakfast.
