Biggleswade History Society will hold a public meeting to mark the 100-year anniversary of the First World War.
The event, on Monday, September 1, will feature guest speaker Kenneth Wood, a former Stratton Upper teacher, and author of Biggleswade and the Great War.
The meeting will be held at Trinity Methodist Church on Shortmead Street and will start at 8pm.
However, those who wish to attend, are encouraged to turn up as early as 7pm when the doors open, as a larger than normal attendance is expected.
The event will take place exactly 100 years on from when the very first Biggleswade man lost his life in the First World War and will cost just £3.
