Bob goes coast to coast for worthy causes
Henlow workmates compete in gruelling challenge
A former Royal Marine is hoping his commando training will stand him in good stead for a gruelling challenge this weekend.
Bob Bonham from Langford and work colleague Nick Trainell will test their endurance to the limit in a 120-mile coast to coast event for two good causes.
The pair, who work at Henlow engineering firm Schlegel UK, are doing it to raise money for injured rugby player Matt King.
They will also make a donation to DebRA UK, the country's leading childrens charity for research into the painful and incurable skin condition EB.
Two young children of colleague Sam Spears have mild cases of Epidermolysis Bullosa which causes blistering of the skin.
The challenge takes place over Saturday and Sunday from the north to south tip of Devon and includes 26 miles of running, a 78-mile mountain bike ride and nine miles of kayaking along the River Dart.
