Bond themed ball licenced to thrill

Event will raise cash for charity

A view to a thrill is being sought by the organiser of a charity ball.

Laura Moncrieff is holding a fundraising themed night based on the James Bond films on Friday, June 4.

Stotfold resident Laura, 27, is organising the evening at Chesfield Downs Golf Club in Graveley in memory of her grandmother Shirley Copping, who died of leukaemia aged 70 in July last year.

Mrs Copping, who lived in Bliss Avenue, Shefford, had been diagnosed with the disease just weeks before.

All money raised from the event will go towards Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, the only UK charity dedicated to researching blood cancers and similar conditions like Hodgkin's lymphoma and myeloma.

The organisation needs to raise more than 100 million over the next five years to sustain its investment, as it receives no government grants.

Tickets can be booked by calling Laura on 07739 971789 or online at www.bondball2010.co.uk.
