editorial image

Burglars stole a large amount of cash from a home in Langford and assaulted a resident before fleeing the scene.

The incident occurred at about 7.20pm last night (Sunday, October 21) when four or five men forced their way into a property in Edworth Road.

The men, who are described as being white and wearing dark clothing and balaclavas, took the cash and other items.

The men then got into a vehicle and fled towards the A1. The two victims were badly shaken by the incident and they were taken to Bedford Hospital.

Several surrounding roads were closed for around two hours while forensic teams examined the scene.

Later last night three men were arrested in Norfolk in connection in relation to the incident.

Anyone with information can contact Bedfordshire Police on 101.
