I am: Sara Fisher, 24 of Church End, Haynes.

What is the event?: A charity fundraising cricket match.

When and where?: Southill Park Cricket Club on September 7.

What the event entails: This match is to celebrate John Wisson’s 65th birthday and to commemorate the life of my late father, John Kettleborough – both of whom are and were long-standing members of Southill Park CC.

There will be a cricket match at 2pm, followed by a barbecue from 6pm onwards.

There will be collection buckets for the two charities throughout the day as well as a bar, raffle, sweetie bags for sale to raise funds

Who is taking part? Two teams of 11, one team picked by James Kettleborough (John’s son) and one team picked by John Wisson

Who are you raising money for?: St Johns Hospice and the Brain Tumour Charity

Why have you chosen these charities? The Brain Tumour Charity because John Kettleborough was beaten by a brain tumour in February 2014 and St Johns Hospice because it helps so many people locally who are suffering with incurable illnesses and their families. John Kettleborough also resided in this hospice for his final days.

Financial target: £750

How are you preparing for the event? This event has been organised by Mandie and John Wisson, myself and my mum, Christine Kettleborough with support from several others associated with SPCC.

How can people support you? Please feel free to turn up and support us on the day!
