Citizen service teenagers appeal for support

A group of enthusiastic teenagers from across the area are busy planning fundraising events while taking part in the National Citizen Service (NCS).

The 16 to 18-year-olds have set a goal of raising £1,000 for charities such as Cancer Research, Macmillan and Young Minds, among other causes. Some of the team are pictured and they are Lara Simon-Williamson, Andi Bowskill, Chloe Marshall, Emily Williams, Emma Tracey, Jordan Taylor, Lally Zealand, Lydia Woolley, Jordan Knight, Dario Wadie, Taylor Pack and Teigan Craddock, who live in Biggleswade, Shefford, Shillington, Arlesey, Meppershall and other areas of Central Bedfordshire. Fundraisers planned are bag packing, quiz nights, onesie walks, sponsored silence, leg wax, pink hair dye session, car boot sales, and collecting food for the homeless and women’s refuge.
