Civic service held in town’s church

Community members gathered together for a civic service on Sunday afternoon (October 21).

The service at St Mary’s Church in Potton was organised by Potton Town Council. It was conducted by Reverend Gill Smith of St Mary’s spoke of the many services provided by different organisations and how they help everyone in their daily lives. Jo Sharman, assistant pastor at Potton Vineyard Church, led the prayers.

Burgoyne Middle School pupils sang and played music for everyone.

Attendants included lord high sheriff Jack Sapsworth, local mayors, town and local authority councillors, the police and schools.
